Marketing Associate (Manoa in Honolulu, HI

The Salvation Army has opening for full-time Marketing Associate in Manoa. This position is 40 hours per week with medical dental benefits. The Marketing Associate reports to the Director of Marketing and Donor Management. The Associates key responsibilities will be to support the Director in establishing and managing integrated marketing campaigns. Heshe will help to support and update the web sitewhile using various social media and on-line platforms to generate digital media impressions for the Islands programs, events, ministries, and fundraising. The Associate will support the Director in executing on-line appeals and help as needed with the coordination and execution of email blasts and miscellaneous direct mail campaign coordination and data and donor management. Heshe must be capable in utilizing various databases and applications to efficiently support the various day-to-day functions of the Development departments direct marketing and donor management functions. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS High-school degree College diploma preferred Marketing andor fundraising experience desired 1 Year of on-line, social media, andor mobile marketing experience preferred two years administrative andor work related skills Proficient in Microsoft word, Ms excel, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint Proficient in social media applications including Facebook, Twitter, Word Press Basic knowledge of HTML is preferred Familiar with relational databases Prioritize multiple work tasks to meet aggressive deadlines Maintain confidentiality Outstanding communication expertise, both verbal and written Must be proficient in English language skills for both reading and writing Must be proactive, able to show initiative and work on hisher own Must be able to multi task, be detailed oriented, and well organized Must exhibit a positive attitude and enjoy working both independently and in teams CRITICAL FUNCTIONS Candidate must possess basic technical skills - including an understanding of Ms office Expertise to communicate in a professional manner with employees, community contacts, and donors. Candidate must be able to help establish, maintain, and update The Salvation Armys presence through social media by using various social media platforms. The expertise to think strategically about integrated marketing and be open in sharing ideas. Knowledge of donorcampaign management processes and database applications. Learn the basic functions of Portfolio, donor database management system. Learn the basic functions of Blackbaud, digital communications and reporting tool. Prepare and distribute correspondence as needed. Manage telephone and electronic communications.
